Tucker Company Worldwide is America’s oldest privately held freight brokerage. The creation of our Core Business Division is a significant investment of resources and a commitment to return to our company’s roots. This Division provides highly focused specialized service to the majority of our customers. A full 75% of our company’s resources are dedicated to serving customers in this division.

We felt compelled to create this division because the service needs of our two other types of customers, the Government customers and our outsourced logistics/3PL customers have different labor, administrative, reporting and operational needs than the majority of our customers.
Additionally, traditional freight brokerage is exploding in the United States today. In 2006 the U. S. DOT reported that brokerage and 3PL services represented $103 Billion in revenue in the most recent year studied. That’s $103 of the $671 Billion dollar transportation industry.
Corporate America has embraced freight brokerage during the past few years to the point where about every shipper in the nation today is making judicious use of at least one freight broker in their core provider programs. In addition, nearly every large motor carrier has a brokerage division.
Customers in the Core Business Division should experience increases in the attention and focus from our customer service people as well as our salespeople due to this move. Benefits will include closer contact between Tucker personnel, Tucker Customers and Tucker contracted Carriers. Smaller teams within Tucker create a more cohesive environment and better internal communications and more aggressive with pricing.
This division will allow the customers in it to have a real, live service or sales person more fully and quickly able to address their needs. It is the goal of this Division to be the most nimble, market sensitive and competitive freight brokerage in the industry.
