LTL LOAD-TO-RIDE & EXPEDITED

There are Dozens of Ways to Ship LTL Freight

Which Option Is Right For You?

Expedited LTL Service, Air Freight & Options

Tucker offers the entire spectrum of LTL from standard to all versions of expedited and time specific delivery. Tucker’s primary mission is to provide our customers with a menu of choices, helping you to understand the trade-offs involved at various prices and services. Whatever the need, we’ve got a solution that works!

LTL Services

Tucker Company Worldwide has contractual relationships with many regional and national LTL carriers, servicing all points within the U.S., Mexico and Canada. We work with our customers to find the best LTL carrier or mix of carriers for the service required.

All LTL carriers are not the same. Some specialize regionally, while some are nationally focused. Most LTL carriers base their rates on very different scales, and they all have expensive and competitive lanes mixed in. A 70% discount with one carrier could have you paying more for your freight bill than a 50% discount with another carrier.

We will help you sort through the maze of discounts, rates, service lanes, classifications and billing. When Tucker Company Worldwide manages your LTL freight, you continue to have one contact person handling all your transactions, no matter how many carriers we use, and we have the ability to apply discounts to lowest base rates, often giving further savings to you.

Partial Truckload

Sometimes Partial Truckload is a perfect service alternative for LTL. It is door-to-door. The freight delivers on the same truck used at pick-up. This is very different than the traditional LTL model, where freight can be frequently on and off loaded. Partial truckload also offers substantial savings over LTL pricing. Service is available between most points in the U.S. and Canada.

Obvious Advantages

 •  Lower risk of damage (less handling)
 •    Potentially lower prices than LTL or Truckload (see back for price comparisons)
 •    Transit time is faster: truckload or near truckload speed (freight goes door to door, not door to dock(s) to door)

When should you consider Tucker Company Worldwide’s Partial Truckload/Load to Ride Service?
 •  If your firm ships 3,000 lbs. or more using an LTL carrier
 •    If you find that it is cheaper to send a truckload than to send 10,000 lbs.
 •    If your freight is light but takes up a lot of space, LTL freight rates can be very high
 •    If you sometimes ship 10 or more pallets as a truckload
