Partial Truckload and/or Load to Ride
Tucker Company has close relationships with many regional and national LTL carriers, servicing all points within the U.S., Mexico and Canada. We work with our customers to find the best LTL carrier or mix of carriers for the service required.
All LTL carriers are not the same. Some specialize regionally, while some are nationally focused. Most LTL carriers base their rates on very different scales, and they all have expensive and competitive lanes mixed in. A 50% discount with one carrier could have you paying more for your freight bill than a 38% discount with another carrier.
We will help you sort through the maze of discounts, rates, service lanes, classifications and billing. When Tucker Company moves your LTL freight, you continue to have one contact person handling all your transactions, no matter how many carriers we use, and we have the ability to apply discounts to lowest base rates, often giving further savings to you.
Partial Truckload
On certain occasions, Partial Truckload is a perfect service alternative for LTL. This is one of our fastest growing services. Partial Truckload is door-to-door, where the freight delivers on the same truck used at pick-up. This is very different than the traditional LTL model, where freight can be frequently on and off loaded. Partial truckload also offers substantial savings over LTL pricing. Service is available between most points in the U.S. and Canada.

When to consider Tucker Companys Partial Truckload Service
| |
If your firm ships 3,000 lbs. or more using an LTL carrier |
| |
If you find that it is cheaper to send a truckload than to send 10,000 lbs. |
| |
If your freight is light but takes up a lot of space, LTL freight rates can be very high |
| |
If you sometimes ship 10 or more pallets as a truckload |
|
 |
| |
When your LTL carrier interlines to some of your customers and you lose your discount, and transit times get long |
| |
When you are concerned with damage when shipping LTL |
| |
When your firm wants to improve transit times for LTL |
